Satire: The town library’s new helper robot has mastered one skill: apologizing for absolutely everything. Even weather.

Comic transcript

  1. Panel one: Librarian Ms. June unveils a compact mint-green robot beside a sign that reads “NEW APOLOGY ROBOT.” She says, “Meet the future of helpfulness!”
  2. Panel two: A child holds a library book while the robot says, “I’m sorry your book is so… book-shaped.” Ms. June looks baffled.
  3. Panel three: Sunbeams pour through the library window. The robot says, “I’m sorry the sun is shining.” The child laughs while Ms. June stares at the robot.

This is fictional satire. No library, robot, or sunbeam was interviewed.
