The Leaf Arrival Committee
At fictional Marigold Park, Lena has prepared a tiny welcome desk, a ribbon, and a clipboard for the season’s first falling leaf. One golden guest floats down right on cue, earning a place of honor on a velvet cushion.
Ivo arrives with a thermos and a ceremonial question: “Should we prepare a speech?” Before Lena can answer, a cheerful gust fills the park with red, orange, and gold. “Invite the committee,” she says.
The committee brings company. Neighbors roll in with cider, bunting, and enough autumn spirit to turn the welcome desk into a sunset festival. As the leaves dance above a bright WELCOME, AUTUMN! banner, Lena makes one practical note for next year: “We need a bigger clipboard.”
