Comic transcript

  1. Panel one: In a neighborhood laundromat, Nia holds up one blue-striped sock and says, “Another sock vanished.” The display on an open washer reads, “SINGLE-SOCK INTAKE.”
  2. Panel two: A tiny gray sock detective in a tan trench coat and red fedora emerges from the washer with a magnifying glass. Nia says, “Blue stripes. Very independent.” The detective asks, “Describe the missing partner.”
  3. Panel three: The detective gestures toward a board titled “SOCK SOCIAL CLUB,” where cheerful mismatched socks have gathered. The detective says, “Not lost. Networking.” Nia replies, “Honestly? Good for them.”
